On Wednesday night (July 8th), the Carroll family set out for our first trip out of state together as a family of 3. We managed to get to Little Rock around 2am on Thursday morning. Makena slept pretty much the whole way. On Thursday after a few hours of sleep we headed to Knoxville, TN. Again Makena was wonderful on the drive. It should have taken about 8 hours but for whatever reason it took us 12 or so. On Friday we had Pizza for lunch in Knoxville at Stephano's. It was great pizza. We then headed out for Asheville so we could spend time with the family. Jake and Jenni invited the wedding party, friends and family to the park for dinner and a little time to hang out. Here is our baby girl enjoying her hotel stay at the Hilton in Knoxville. Isn't she beautiful?!?!? It looks like her blue eyes may stick around for good. They are still very bright and blue. There are no signs that she will get her momma's brown eyes.
